I woke up one morning, opened Instagram, and this came across my feed. Stop what you are doing and order this now! Ok, don't stop what you are doing because you have to get up and get to work! This was the 2015 free market pattern that you got if you purchased the three new classic Colorworks threads of the year. This is still available to order in 2018.

I swirled the thread in the sheep by stitching the insides in a swirl pattern. I heard that somewhere and it worked!

A Coastal Trip

We had a work trip on the north coast. We headed over to Mumm Napa for some champagne with Jon and Carolyn.

We met up with Carrie for ice cream.

After we met up with Carrie, we headed down to Oakland to see some friends and to spend time with Joe's family.

I found some pretty flowers in the city.

We drove home down the coast the next day and stopped at this great restaurant in Big Sur for some champagne.

We finally made it to the county line, but we also hit traffic, and that gave me a lot of ocean side time to knit Joe's socks!

Beth Twist!

Now, I don't mean to say that hangin out with Lisa The Kindred Stitcher wasn't the most amazing part of my weekend, but we, together, got to meet Beth Twist. If you didn' t know, she is the designer behind Heartstring Samplery!

Lisa and I met in downtown Portland and had brunch at Mothers Tavern. This was the first place Joe and I ever ate in Portland the morning he interviewed for his job!

Next, we headed to Acorns and Threads to meet and hang out with Beth Twist. She has a FlossTube and you can find it here, her Etsy shop is here.

We also made a video! She was so kind to play along with our fun jokes and she showed us her basket full of smalls and we got to see the Prairie Life Sampler Sample up close!
