California and Uncommon Threads

I had to take a trip to California for work.  This was the first day that I pulled out knitting to keep me company.  I have been unmotivated by the logistics it takes to stitch while traveling.  It can be a bit much.  I pulled out my knitting on the ride to the airport.

On the plane, I sat in the window seat and the lady in the aisle seat was knitting!

I did stitch a bit, I have been excited to work on this!

I finished the sock in my hotel before dinner!

I went to A Verb for Keeping Warm in Oakland on Thursday. I got to see one of our favorite families.

Friday morning had some pretty light.  I don't use the words pretty in reference to Fremont often (ever).

Before I went to the airport, I stopped at Uncommon Threads.

In the airport, I pulled out my new Brooklyn Tweed Loft and got to work on my shawl.  I was happy that it was raining when I landed in Portland.  Home.

Joe picked me up and the airport and we went to Please Louise for dinner.

A Verb for Keeping Warm

I headed up to Oakland/Berkeley after work to browse at A Verb for Keeping Warm.  I had tons of chances to go when I lived in California, but because I wasn't knitting often enough to buy yarn, I never went.

I purchased Brooklyn Tweed Loft, 3 skeins.  I am a rookie it seems because I did not realize that I purchased unmatched dye lots until I left.  I never would have done that before.  It looks the same, it'll do!

I didn't know when I took this photo of the wheels that it was the motivation I needed to run home and get out my Lendrum!

Walking in Town

Maddie and I have been taking fall walks through town.
