Loop in London

There I was, running around London like a fool, trying to touch every corner that I could.  I was tired, hungry, and I thought that maybe it would be cool to go to a knitting shop called Loop.  I'd heard of it, I wasn't sure how I knew about it, but I did.  Maybe it will be good, maybe it will be bad, but hey, when in Rome, er London.

I had some lunch and opened Google maps to check which train I would be taking to get to Loop

To my surprise, I was guided to a bus stop and I climbed into a red double decker bus, the top seats were empty.  Front and center, yes please.

I got off the bus and started to wind through small streets to a shopping area.  I was pleasently suprised by the neighborhood and adventure.  After all, this is why I was going, to touch another corner of London.

I arrived and was immediately charmed by the building and window display.

I have been smitten with sunburst crochet grannies for years, and this one stole my heart.  I wasn't even inside yet!

I opened the door and this was my view.

Wish list, must have, yup!

How I Organize My Thread

Or floss, but I don't like the word floss unless I am talking to my dentist.  I feel validated because my sweet Aunt Linda calls it thread because that's how it is in our family :)  But you do you, boo!

I use double hole baggies.  I used to buy the Hobby Lobby brand but now I don't live near one.  I buy the Darice brand (which are identical to the Hob Lob version and probably make them for Hob Lob) at JoAnn's in store but I can't find them on their website.

Most recently I purchased packages from Consumer Crafts and paid about $3 in shipping.

Here is the link to the Consumer Crafts website.

2019 Stitchy Wish List

There are only a few items that I are giving me ALL THE FEELS and I must start in 2019.  Let's be honest, everything gives me the feels, but these are all of them right now!

They are:

Strawberry House by Scarlett House.  Yes Yes please.  This is a perfect plane project.

Chalkboard ornaments by Hands On Design.  There are 9 and I will need to order the Linen from Fabrics by Stephanie ahead-of-time because it is dye-to-order.

There are many bird patterns in this collection but I would like to start with this one, Birds IV by Heartstring Samplery.  I would like to do them all in time and frame them individually and make a beautiful grouping on a wall.  That American Robin, yes, another great plane project.

I really like Coffee Quaker by Heartstring Samplery and it has had my eye for quite some time.  I would like to frame it and hang it behind our coffee area in the kitchen.

Be Exceedingly Diligent by Needlework Press keeps showing up in my feed and I MUST DO IT.  The entire thing is stitched in DMC but there are a few ladies on Insta doing it in silks.  I will stalk their feeds and watch the progress to see if this will be my first project with silk thread.

Virtue Sampler by La Di Da.  My Aunt Linda's last name is Virtue and this is her brick house and those are her trees in her yard out past the highway 12 bridge at Beaver Lake in Rogers, Ar.  All the feels, ALL THE FEELS.
