A great, simple weekend

We had an incredibly relaxing weekend although we both stayed busy with our hobbies.I arrived home to find my order of 60 zippers from ZipIt Zippers on Etsy so I could sew lots of bags! They make a nice fall rainbow!

I also received a Q Snap cover and ort catcher from Shelley Giusti! Thank you so much for the sweet gift!

I made a fast trip to Acorn's and Threads for the embroidery thread colors I needed and then stopped off at the Mill End Store that's in the neighborhood.  I actually wanted to go to the Mill End Store and used needing thread as an excuse to have two errands to run!  I worked on my Q Snap cover stash.  I love the excuse to buy 1/4 yard of beautiful fabric for about $2.50 a cut! Proct bags and Q snap covers give me the best excuse for buying small amounts of beautiful fabric that I would have otherwise only admired.

Joe spent the weekend working on the fireplace.  He only has a couple weekends left before he has to work through the weekends because of harvest. I told him I needed a fall mantle and he NEEDED TO GET IT DONE!  He's very excited about having a place to hang stockings this Christmas.

Ellie poked her head out of the bedroom to see what was going on but has never been interested by power tool noises.

She stayed cozy in the bedroom.

Maddie hurt herself chasing a cat and spent most of the weekend on the floor because she can't jump up.  However, she heard a cat in the middle of the night and limped out to chase it.

Joe did not put safety first so he had to go to the ER because he got a splinter.  I don't want to know what the flu with bring.

While  Joe was off at the ER, Ellie came out of the room to live her best nap life on the couch and I stitched away!

Joe returned from the ER and got back to it.

The weekend was full of hobbies and nothing else - just how we like it!
